The world of energy is changing rapidly. Natural gas from hydro-fracturing (“fracking”) is controversial and may turn the US into an energy exporter; renewable energy’s future is less promising than it was even a year ago; and airlines are facing unprecedented volatility in fuel costs. In effect, energy is in many ways at the forefront of the political and business dialogue, and is affecting the long-term strategy of energy-intensive and consumer-facing brands. Do consumers care if their snack bar is made from wind power or hydro-fraced natural gas energy?

The first Kellogg Energy Conference, New Energy -> New Challenges, will be a half-day conference focusing on energy as the crossroads between industries.

The 2013 conference will highlight challenges the industry is facing with emerging sources of energy. A diverse range of panelists will offer expert analysis on strategies and solutions that could shape the future of the sector. Attendees will gain valuable insights and walk away with actionable understanding of the outlook of the sector.
